ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-- A new study from area economic leaders says unless the region attracts a lot more immigrants in the next decade, the metro area will continue to shrink and job growth will continue to stagnate.

The project is called Mosaic St. Louis and aims to attract new immigrants world-wide to the St. Louis area.

Right now, only 4 1/2 percent of the metro's population is foreign-born, well below most other areas.
