Small Fire In High Rise Building Put Out Quickly

(KTVI) – An investigation is underway to determine what caused an overnight fire at a Midtown high rise.

A small fire broke out around 1:00 a.m. Thursday outside the door of a vacant apartment on the 17th floor of Grand View Tower Apartments on North Grand and Forest Park.

A sprinkler system was able to put out the flames before firefighters arrived.  No one was evacuated or injured.
