MoDOT Restricting Work For 4th Of July

ST. LOUIS, MO. (KTVI)  – MoDOT is restricting all construction work during the Independence Day holiday, suspending all work that would impact Fair St. Louis by noon on Wednesday, July 3.

Traffic will still be restricted where there are permanent barriers and where emergency work needs to be done.

All construction work will resume on Friday, July 5 at 9:00 am.

The Fair St. Louis event downtown will impact access on Memorial Drive. The northbound I-55, eastbound I-70 and Poplar Street bridge exit ramps to Memorial Drive will be closed until 9 a.m. Sunday, July 7. The westbound I-70 entrance ramp from Memorial Drive, and northbound I-55 entrance ramp at Marion will also be closed until 9 a.m. Sunday July 7.

The right lane of southbound I-270 between Route 100 (Manchester Road) and Dougherty Ferry will also be closed for widening work Friday, July 5, and also July 8-10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

MoDOT Work Zone Schedule for July 4th-10th

Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:

  • I-64, St. Louis City, ramp from Pine Street to westbound I-64 closed until August 2013.
  • I-64, St. Louis City, ramp from Ewing to eastbound I-64 closed until August 2013.
  • I-64, St. Louis City, ramp from Jefferson Avenue to westbound I-64 closed until mid-July.
  • I-64, St. Louis City, the Vandeventer ramp to westbound I-64 is closed until late 2013.
  • I-64, St. Louis City, drivers in both directions has three shifted, 10-foot lanes between Kingshighway and Vandeventer until November 2013. The rightmost lane of eastbound I-64 exits at Hampton.
  • Jefferson Avenue Bridge, St. Louis City, closed over I-64 until August 2013.
  • I-70, (westbound section of the Interstate 70 Blanchette bridge over the Missouri River) remains closed late summer 2013. The eastbound I-70 bridge has three lanes of traffic in each direction. The ramp from northbound 5th Street to eastbound I-70 is also closed.
  • I-70, St. Charles County, the ramp from westbound I-70 to southbound 5th Street is closed. It will reopen by 5 a.m. Friday June 28.
  • I-70, St. Charles County, loop ramps from Mid Rivers Mall Drive to eastbound and westbound I-70 remains closed until fall 2013.
  • I-70, St. Charles County, far right lane westbound closed from Route 370 to the Mid Rivers Mall Drive exit until fall 2013.
  • I-70, St. Charles County, right lane closed westbound between Mid Rivers Mall Drive and Route 79 until August 2013.

  • Route 366, St. Louis County, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., one right lane closed eastbound between Grant and Edgar.
  • Route 370, St. Louis County, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., one westbound lane closed at the Discovery Bridge over the Missouri River.

  • I-270, St. Louis County, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., one southbound lane closed between Route 100 (Manchester) and Dougherty Ferry.
  • I-44, St. Louis County, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., eastbound left lane closed between Mraz and the Meramec River.
