Dave murray’s latest stl forecast and weather disco…For the weekend…July 6-7, 2013.

*** the long holiday weekend goes on with little change in the overall weather pattern…Pretty nice for summer in st. Louis…But watch for pop strong storms***

Saturday:

Partly sunny…A warm afternoon…Maybe a few spot p.M. Thunderstorms
Winds: south 5-15 m.P.H.
High: 88 degrees

Saturday night:

Partly cloudy..A nice evening.
Winds: south 5-10 m.P.H.
Low: 70 degrees.

Sunday:

Partly sunny and warm…Still a chance of a few spot storms…Afternoon variety
Winds: south 5-15 m.P.H.
High: 90 degrees.

The weather disco:

I will be off the next few days…So a little long range look here…The key will be a break-down of the existing weather pattern…As the little low pressure and the northwest flow exit and the jet retreats to the north and goes zonal along the u.S./canadian bourder…This will allow the lare dome of summer heat from the southwest to expand back up and over the mid-west…The old back and forth pattern we talked about in the summer forecast and the pattern that has been in control…Resulting in a very different summer than last year. This week…There will be a front working in wednesday-thursday time frame…Until then hit and miss storms…A better shot of widespread rain and storms…Wednesday, wednesday night and thursday…Maybe lasting into friday…Depending on how the front hangs up. Then the summer dome will start to force itself into the mid-west on or after june 13th and be around for awhile.
