PANAMA CITY, FL – The fathers of the two Indiana teenagers critically injured while parasailing in Florida offered updates Thursday on their daughters’ conditions.

“We’ve been just overwhelmed today. We have some great news for all the stuff that she has been through. She was actually, when she was walking on her therapy she was walking past Sidney’s room and was able to walk in and say “hi”, hold her hand. Sidney was able to raise her hand ..it was a great moment.” said Alexis’ Dad  Mike Fairchild.

“He basically told us of our child’s injuries, which was a severe brain trauma and a broken neck..which I really believe is more of a fracture to her neck and a severe laceration on her left leg…right leg..excuse me. We have not been able to do anything about her neck. She’s not stable enough–she’s still in critical condition.” said Sidney’s Dad Erick Good

Alexis Fairchild and Sidney Good, both 17, were parasailing Sunday in Panama City when the tow rope attached to a boat snapped.

The family says sidney’s brother was on the boat when it happened and could only watch helplessly as his sister and alexis slammed into an apartment building and then plummeted to the ground.
