Five Cardinals Make NL All-Star Team

(KTVI)-The Cardinals lead all National League teams with five players being selected for the 2013 NL All-Star team. Major League Baseball announced the teams live on FOX Saturday evening. Yadier Molina and Carlos Beltran will be starters for the National League. They won the fan vote at their respective positions.

Adam Wainwright and Matt Carpenter were selected by the player's vote.

Allen Craig was selected to play in the game by NL team manager Bruce Bochy.

For Beltran it will be his 8th All-Star game. Molina will be playing in his 5th All-Star game. Wainwright was selected for the 2nd time as an All-Star, while Carpenter and Craig are first time All-Stars.
