(KTVI) — A fight over spilled beer has left one man dead and two others with injuries.

Police officers responded to a 911 call late Wednesday night concerning a fight between four men. Upon arriving to the crime scene at Kiener Plaza, 29-year-old victim Mario Shackelford was found shot dead.

The four men, who were friends, were riding in a vehicle together while drinking. The suspect, 34-year-old Steven Rozier spilled his beer, instigating a fight. Rozier then fired multiple shots at Shackelford’s chest, killing him.

Rozier attempted to flee following the shooting but was chased by one of the other passengers. Rozier then fired shots at the man, but missed. The unidentified passenger struggled to get the gun away from Rozier, sustaining injuries during the fight.

A witness, who was with the group, took the gun away as Rozier and the other passenger fought and placed it in the truck until the police arrived.

Rozier has been taken into custody and has been treated for a head injury sustained during the fight. The unidentified passenger was treated for lacerations at the scene.

Warrants have been issued for Rozier including 2nd Degree Murder, 1st Degree Assault, 2 counts Armed Criminal Action and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
