Stars steal the show at Comic Con

SAN DIEGO, CA. (FOX NEWS) - The stars stole the show at Comic Con Saturday, delivering huge announcements about some of the most popular film franchises in the world.

FOX's Misha Dibono has the latest from San Diego.

More proof - you just never know who`s going to show up at comic con.

Tom Cruise says: "Look I just want to entertain you.. I really want to do what every I can... thank you...it is a dream of mine and an honor."

Yup Tom Cruise made a surprise visit ...
And Superman made a huge announcement....

"That it is official we are going to make another Superman movie."

Aaron Eckhart promoting I Frankenstein, is called out by the audience.

Aaron Eckhart says: "I'll give you one bicep."

But the biggest crowd pleasers had to be for hunger games Catching Fire.

New district characters and the now uber stars Liam Hemsworth, Josh Huchison and finally the girl on fire.

Batman, Stars Wars, The Avengers, mass murderers, Poison Ivy, and of course galactic super heroes.

These costumes are for the serious comic book fan.

MOS 4 says: "I'm in a video game called The Force Unleashed. And I'm star killer and this is."

MOS 5 says: "I'm Mary J from the expanded universe in the books."

This guy actually stars in the video games and has been coming to Comic Con since 1997.

MOS 4 says "Now it’s cool to be a nerd so all us older nerds have to try and step it up. So we don`t get forgotten."
