LINCOLN COUNTY, MO. (KTVI) – Some of the inmates at the Lincoln County jail have taken up gardening, to take up some of their time being incarcerated.  Only selected inmates with good behavior and non-violent backgrounds are allowed into the gardening program.

Inmates have planted and tended a vegetable garden that is expected to save the county a $1,000 in food cost of inmates this summer and possibly save even more additional monies this winter, after left over vegetables are canned for the winter.
