Saks Fifth Avenue purchased by Canadian firm

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – An American retail icon is being sold to a Canadian retail icon. The Hudson’s Bay Company is buying Saks Fifth Avenue for nearly $3 billion dollars. The company already owns Lord & Taylor.

Saks operates a full-line store at Plaza Frontenac and will open an Off-Fifth outlet in Chesterfield in August.
