ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Don’t you want to dance with somebody?  A dance studio in downtown is offering free classes in the middle of the street to celebrate National Dance Day.

Downtown St. Louis Organizers encouraged Dollhouse Studios to host one free event a month in efforts to provide an opportunity for business owners and the community to network.  Dance studio co-owner Lisa Potts, developed the concept of having a fitness class open to the public in the middle of a downtown street.

In only one year the number of participants walking up and working out at the Zumba Party, lead by fitness instructor Miriam Ross, has more than doubled. She explains that Zumba is not simply a fad but a fun alternative to traditional cardio workouts; "People can't help but to watch and join in."

Held every fourth Thursday of the Summer, The Dollhouse Studios invites the entire St. Louis community to try one of the fastest growing fitness craves by hosting a Zumba dance party in the middle of 15th St.  at Washington Ave.
