New color JFK video shows family 2 months before assassination

(FOX News) – New rare color images of President John F. Kennedy and his family are released by the JFK Library. The footage, from the summer of 1963, shows President Kennedy at Squaw Island in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts. The president is seen visiting the island with his family and several members of his cabinet.

The private videos show the President enjoying a round of golf, boating, and swimming with his daughter Caroline. the never before seen color film was taken just four months before his assassination
and two months before his wife Jacqueline Kennedy gave birth to their premature son, Patrick, who died two days later.

The JFK Library did not say why the film was kept secret for the past fifty years.
