Student robbed at gunpoint near Wash U campus

WEST ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-A student was robbed at gunpoint while standing at a bike rack near the Washington University campus Tuesday morning.  Around 8:20am, the 20 year old victim was talking on his phone in the 200 block of N. Skinker.  A man got out of a car, approached, and showed a handgun.  He stole the phone and the student’s backpack containing a laptop and other personal items.

The suspect was described as a black male, 20-25 years old, 6’-6’2”, 185lbs, with dreadlocks and a dark complexion.  He was wearing a black T-shirt and black pants.

The vehicle is described as a blue Pontiac Aztec driven by a light-skinned black female. She had a sheet over her head and never left the car.

St. Louis Police are investigating. Washington University Police were notified of the incident.
