Humane Society to rescue pets affected flood waters in central Missouri
ST. LOUIS, MO. (KTVI) – The St. Louis Humane Society’s disaster response team is being called into action because of flooding in south central Missouri. Pet owners affected by the flooding have overwhelmed the Waynesville, Missouri Animal Control center, forcing the center to call out for help.
At their request, the St. Louis Humane Society is sending its large animal rescue trailer to Waynesville to assist the shelter in housing pets owners can’t keep till the flood waters recede. 15 dogs at the shelter will be transferred to St. Louis for examination and made available for adoption.
