CENTREVILLE, MO (KTVI) – Centreville police have a person of interest in custody for a burglary at the JTC Academy. The suspect was caught after police released surveillance video of the crime.

The officers left with the suspect still inside. School principal Amy Polt says the thief took money and ripped out wiring, causing thousands of dollars in damage.

Surveillance video shows the suspect inside the JTC Academy at approximately 3am on Friday. The video shows the suspect ducking for cover when officers arrived. The break-in triggered an alarm.

Police are hoping criminal charges will be filed later this week.
