BELLEVILLE, IL (KTVI) – When was the last time you went bobbing for apples? Tim Ezell and Chris Eckert had some fun in the parking lot Thursday. They even bobbed for peaches!

Eckerts has a new apple variety available for picking at Belleville - Gala apples. They will be available for picking on August 24 along with Cresthaven peaches. Kind of fun that guests will be able to get both apples and peaches.

Honeycrisp Weekend - this might be their guests’ favorite apple. This apple will be available for picking on August 31, September 1 & 2 at the Belleville, Millstadt & Grafton Farms. This will take place in conjunction with Barnyard Olympics (which is only at Belleville): Load up the kids and head out to Eckert's to take place in our annual Barnyard Olympics! Kids will enjoy scoop shovel races at 11 am, corn shucking at 1 pm and a cherry seed spitting contest at 3 pm. Other activities include live music, carnival rides, animals for petting and pony rides. Event will take place from 10 am until 5 pm.

Millstadt Fun Farm - such a fun place for families. This farm opens on Tuesday, September 10. There is so much for families to do. Haunted Hayrides (on the weekends), mechanical rides, pony rides, apple and pumpkin picking, animals for petting, tractor rides, jumping pillow, fun house, mini golf, and more! On September 10 we will be featured on Groupon in STL for buy one get one free.

Lastly, this year marks the 50th year anniversary running PYO apples. Eckerts is celebrating in a big way with lots of specials and promotions September 9-15.
