O' FALLON, MO (KTVI)-- You still have a chance to win a beautiful dream home if you buy a ticket for this year’s St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway.

FOX 2 wanted to give you an inside look at what it takes to treat the kids and keep them as comfortable as possible.

While doctors and researchers work to save lives at St. Jude Children’s research hospital in Memphis, Executive Chef Luann Thomas and her staff are preparing the meals needed to keep kids as healthy as possible.

The hospital has shops and a farmers market for families and staff. They also have cooking classes for patients. And the food looks good.

More than 7,800 kids visit the hospital every year.  They come from both the United States and abroad.

And some patients are thousands of miles away from home, they often crave native foods. And chefs do their best to give as many comforts as possible.

While the dream of Danny Thomas lives on through the spirit of helping and healing, the process of what happens behind kitchen doors will continue to have a big impact on how kids and families cope and move on.

The St. Jude Dream Home will be open this weekend.

And from September 3 through September 5 from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. is the last chance to see the house and reserve your ticket.
