“Ride of the Century” continues, with heavy police presence

ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – The heat and rain couldn't keep sport bike fans from hitting the streets of St. Louis for "The Ride of the Century." Sunday’s ride was lessen a bit by the deaths of two motorcyclist Saturday, one in St. Charles and the other last night in south St. Louis.

St. Louis City Police Chief Sam Dotson was frustrated Saturday night, over the death of the motorcyclist in south St. Louis, stating he welcomed the riders to St. Louis, and they should have fun and enjoy Street Louis, but they need to responsible and ride with safety in mind.

Multimedia journalist Wade Smith was with the motorcycle riders at the start of their ride on the St. Louis Riverfront, as police officers check each riders, license, registration and insurance.
