ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – The Illinois Casino Gaming Association is asking regulators for approval to operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Right now, no casinos are open more than 22 hours. A hearing is scheduled for September 19.

The Gaming Association says 24-hour operations would raise revenue and create more jobs.  Opponents worry extending hours would create more problems for compulsive gamblers.
