Shelby Miller continued the trend of great starting pitching as the Cardinals won their fourth straight game at home. The Cardinals beat Milwaukee 4-2 as Matt Holliday, Matt Carpenter, and Matt Adams drove in all 4 runs. Miller went 6.2 shutout innings to pick up his 13th win. Starting pitchers have gone a combined 26.2 innings on the homestand giving up just 1 run. Matt Holliday ended a no-hit bid by the Brewers Wily Peralta with a 2 run homer in the 6th inning. The Pirates also won so the Cardinals stay 1 game up in the NL Central.
