(KTVI) - Apple CEO Tim Cook announced apples' two new iPhones on September 10th.  The 5s and the 5C.

Scott Schaffer from Blad Technologies discussed features of the new phones and what Apple is doing to set themselves apart from rival smartphone companies.

The 5s comes with a touch fingerprint ID.

Could this lead to an iPhone thief cutting off the owner's thumb?  No, it needs to be a living finger in order to function.

While there is a fingerprint ID, the password option is still available for those who prefer that way.

The 5s will begin at $200, and the 5c will start at $100.

The new iPhones will go on sale on Sept. 20, with pre-orders starting on Sept. 13.
