Man breaks into union hall, arrested minutes later

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - St. Louis Police say the suspect in a break in at a union hall was quickly taken down by an employee.

The incident happened just before 8 a.m. at the Carpenter's Hall on Hampton near West Park.

Police say the suspect approached the teller's window and asked for change. As the employee reached for a money envelop, the suspect crawled through a window and grabbed the money from the teller and left.

An employee chased the suspect several blocks and detained him until police arrived.  the suspect was taken into custody by police.
