Toddler killed by TV

ALORTON, IL. (KTVI) – A one year old boy was killed Friday, after being crushed by a television in the back seat of his mother’s car. Alorton police say Vernita Billips was driving east on Bond avenue, when she crossed into the west-bound lanes, near Park and crashed into a pole.

The impact knocked a television in the backseat of her car, onto her year old son Marshawn.

Billips and her 5-year-old daughter suffered minor injuries.
