Shoppers in for a shorter holiday shopping period this year

(KTVI) – Halloween isn’t even here yet, but many retailers say you may want to get a head start on your holiday wish list.

The reason: the calendar is a little more crunched this year because of Thanksgiving falls on November 28th.  That means there are only 25 days between Black Friday and Christmas.

Last year, there were 31 days.  This is the shortest holiday shopping stretch in a decade and retail experts say that means stores will be more crowded than ever.
