(KTVI) – Cardinals fans are hoping this “Hump Day” becomes a ‘Wins-Day” for the Redbirds. It’s win or go home Wednesday night in Game 5 of the NLDS.

The Cardinals forced the decisive game after winning Game 4 in Pittsburgh on Monday. Most of the players opted out of yesterday’s optional workout at Busch as the team gets set for another elimination game.

The Pirate slept in their own beds and then flew to St. Louis Tuesday afternoon, opting out of the Busch workout. The Cardinals are 7 and 1 in do-or-die games over the past three Octobers.

Adam Wainwright will be on the mound for the Cardinals against Gerrit Cole of the Pirates. Waino dominated Game 1 of the series. Cole won Game 2.
The first pitch is 7:07 p.m. Wednesday. The winner moves on to the NLCS to face the Los Angeles Dodgers.

“Let’s Make Some Noise”

437n1Some Cardinals fans are determined to make as much noise as they can during Wednesday’s game.

They’re tired of hearing how loud the crowd in Pittsburgh was for Game 4.

The Seattle Seahawks recently set a record for the loudest crowd with decibel levels of more than 130.

Now Cardinals fans hope to show their support for the birds very loudly. But hearing experts say exposure to noise greater then 85 decibels for a sustained amount of time can cause permanent hearing loss.
Levels are expected to climb higher than 100 decibels Wednesday night at Busch.
