Blues Beat Rangers 5-3, now 4 and 0 on the Season

The St. Louis Blues continued their early season winning streak with a 5-3 win over the New York Rangers on Saturday night at Scottrade Center. It’s the Blues first ever 4 and 0 start to a season in their 47 year history. Captain David Backes scored two goals for the Blues. Also scoring for the note was Alex Steen, Derek Roy and Vladimir Tarasenko. Jaroslav Halak got the win in goal for the Blues making 26 saves.

The Blues will conclude their season opening five game home stand with a Tuesday date at Scottrade Center against the San Jose Sharks.
