Officers, firefighters training for Guns ‘N Hoses

(KTVI) - Guns and Hoses is the night before Thanksgiving, but some firefighters and police officers are already training.

The 27th annual Budweiser Guns `N Hoses will take place Thanksgiving Eve, Wednesday, Nov. 27, at Scottrade Center.

The boxing event features three-round matches between police officers, firefighters and emergency medical personnel from Missouri and Illinois. This year the event also will feature Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fights for the first time.

All proceeds from Budweiser Guns 'N Hoses go to The BackStoppers.  After a loss of life, The BackStoppers provide money for emergency expenses and later arranges to pay bills, mortgages, debts, college costs and other expenses.  The organization was founded in 1959.
