Dave Murray’s latest stl forecast and weather disco…For Wednesday…November 13, 2013.

*** Still plenty of cold around the region on this Wednesday…no as cold…but cold for this time of year…now get set for another rather impressive flip with temperatures and the pattern…warmer…but also another cold flip in sight too***

My STL winter forecast will be out Thursday…November 21st…9PM

Wednesday:

Plenty of sunshine…still a cold day
Winds: Southwest 5-15 m.p.h.
High: 47 degrees

Wednesday night:

Clear skies and cold
Winds: South 5-10 m.p.h.
Low: 28 degrees.

Thursday:

Partly sunny…not as cold
Winds: South 5-15 m.p.h.
High: 55 degrees

THE WEATHER DISCO:

An impressive dome of arctic high pressure in place…this will slide off to the east especially Wednesday afternoon…our highest pressure from this dome was 30.78″…impressive…the record for November 30.95″ and the highest pressure ever in STL 31.01″ To get the big cold you need the arctic cold front followed by the monster dome of arctic high pressure…cool stuff.
There is another pattern flip on the way…in fact two flips on the way…first a warming trend…especially getting into the weekend…but the weekend will be unsettled…periods of rain…all rain…then another shot of colder air coming in early next week…the roolar-coaster ride goes on.
