Collinsville names new police chief

COLLINSVILLE, IL (KTVI)-The city of Collinsville, IL will soon have a new Chief of Police.  Stephen Evans will assume the role on Nov. 27.  Evans has been working in law enforcement for 25 years and has worked with the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department and as a Division Commander with the Fairview Heights, IL Police Department. He is also a Deputy Commander of the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis.

The former Collinsville, IL police chief, Eric Van Hook, recently resigned to take the job as the Chief of Police  in O’Fallon, IL in December.
