(KTVI) – Thanksgiving is this Thursday and students at Mary Institute Country Day School will do their part this morning to make sure needy families have a holiday meal.

Monday is their 10th annual “turkey train.”   MICDS students will pass dozens of frozen turkeys, hand-over-hand, to fill truck for the St. Louis Food Bank.

They’ll be joined by elementary and middle school students to give the turkeys and hundreds of canned goods to the food bank.

Last year’s “turkey train” collected enough food to provide more than 8800 meals for the needy.
