My son and I were heading home from his Football Tournament that took place in St. Louis over the holiday weekend. We came upon the accident and saw the motorcycle and the Suburban pulling the U-haul that was sitting on the side of the road. What i instantly thought and had suspected was true. Mr. Ames had not been seen by the suburban pulling the U-Haul. So TRAGIC!!!!. I mentioned to my son that the Suburban probably didn’t see the motorcycle as the motorcycle was probably in the Suburbans blind vision of the rear view mirror so the Suburban merged over hitting the motorcycle. I instantly said a prayer for the soul that was taken from us.knowing that he/she was probably heading home after the holiday weekend. God has a new angel!!!! My prayers go out to the Ames Family during this most devastating time in their lives.

“after crashing into the rear end of Chevrolet Suburban towing a U-Haul. Police say the motorcyclist was cut off by an unknown vehicle”,

I guess the latest update was that he was cut off by another vehicle, so the Suburban did nothing like “merging” as you stated.
