(KTVI) – The murder trial of Justin DeRyke has been delayed until February.

DeRyke, 22, is charged with killing his 7-year-old niece Willow Long on September 7.  The trial was supposed to begin next Monday, but the defense says they need more time because evidence and information is still coming to them.

The trial will begin February 10th. DeRyke remains in the Effingham County Jail under a $5 million bond.
