ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Wentzville’s GM plant will soon assemble a new pickup truck. It’s the redesigned Chevy Colorado.

GM has a lot of projected sales riding on this pickup, that’s a key part of the carmaker’s turnaround effort. Four years ago, GM filed for bankruptcy. Brands have been cut from eight to four, debt slashed by $37 million and more than $8 billion invested in US operations since 2009.

Production of the Colorado will begin next July.
