Driver arrested after car hits street light

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – A driver was arrested in a one-car accident overnight in South St. Louis. The crash happened around 1:45am on Watson road and Bradley Avenue, near Tilles Park.

The driver hit a parked car, then knocked over a street light pole, into a nearby yard. The car ended up on the curb. The driver ran away, but police caught him a few blocks away.

    Hitting a parked car is understandable when you look at the snow and ice, but when the car then continues to collide with other fixed objects on the roadway like a street pole, then speed comes into question. In either case, why a driver would then leave is still a question regarding this saint louis car accident.
