Federal Court stays execution of convicted killer Allen Nicklasson

(KTVI) – A Federal Appeals Court has stayed the execution of convicted killer Allen Nicklasson. He was scheduled to be put to death at midnight in Bonne Terre for the 1994 murder of businessman Richard Drummond.

Nicklasson claimed he had ineffective lawyers. The Missouri Attorney General is expected to appeal.
