Kirkwood’s McWoods named an All-American

KIRKWOOD, MO. (KTVI) – Kirkwood High soccer player Eric McWoods was named an All-American Tuesday by the Nation Soccer Coaches Association.  McWood has been a starter for the Pioneers for the past four years at Kirkwood High School.  In 2012, he was named to the First Team All-State and NSCAA All-Region team.

McWoods has decided to continue his education and soccer career at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, were he will be majoring in Business Communications.

    Did they mean, “All African American”? It’s offensive to some of us African Americans to be called “Americans” I always thought that “American” was a white people slogan and term? Are they trying to be funny?
