(KTVI)– The US Supreme Court will issue a ruling Wednesday regarding the scheduled execution of a convicted killer.

That’s according to the Missouri attorney general’s office.

Allen Nicklasson was scheduled to be put to death at midnight Tuesday in Bonne Terre for the 1994 murder of businessman Richard Drummond.

Nicklasson claimed he had ineffective lawyers.

He received a stay of execution earlier Tuesday from a federal appeals court.

The Missouri attorney general appealed.
