ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Ford is planning what its calling an “aggressive” expansion next year. The company is adding 5,000 new jobs and rolling out 23 new vehicles, globally.

The last time the company grew like this, Dwight Eisenhower was president. this comes after the company’s struggles following the financial crisis.

Unlike its rivals GM and Chrysler, Ford avoided a federal bailout. However, over the past decade they laid off and bought-out tens of thousands of workers.
