ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Build-A-Bear Workshop Founder Maxine Clarks re-enters the furry fray to help launch a line of children`s winter apparel. The local start-up company called Monster Coats was born out of Andy and Frannie Whiteside`s desire to create a product that is unique, fun, fashionable and functional. They enlisted Clark and Michael Loynd as advisors and investors.

In bold colors that appeal to boys and girls, the coats and hats are made from a furry material that is both incredibly warm and machine washable - making little monsters and moms happy. The coats include details such as real horn toggles and a zippered internal pocket.

Monster Coats has just launched with a limited quantity of its signature coats and hats. They can be purchased online at www.monstercoats.com and at select retailers.
