Peveley’s City Administrator contract not renewed

PEVELEY, MO. (KTVI) – The City of Pevely, Missouri has voted out its City Administrator Terry Thomas, after having served the city for over 30 years. Thomas’s contracted was not renewed by the city council during a meeting Monday night, in which Mayor John Knoblach had to vote, to break a tie.

Thomas had previously served on the city’s police force for 32-years, before becoming the City’s Administrator.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Thomas had discovered hundreds of thousands of dollars in uncollected taxes and bad bookkeeping, in the city.
