Dave Murray’s latest stl forecast and weather disco…For Friday…December 27, 2013

*** Quiet times still in place over the region…slightly cooler today…but not by much…then the warmest of the run still on track for Saturday…big winter cold returns on Sunday***.

Friday:

Plenty of sunshine…slightly cooler
Winds: Southwest 5-15 m.p.h.
High: 47 degrees.

Friday night:

Clear skies and cold
Winds: South 5-10 m.p.h.
Low: 29 degrees.

Saturday:

Partly to mostly sunny and nice in the afternoon
Winds: South 5-15 m.p.h.
High: 55 degrees

Colder on Sunday…partly sunny…the high 35…early morning…windy and dropping into the 20’s for the afternoon…maybe a few snow flurries with the front…low teens for Sunday night into Monday morning

THE WEATHER DISCO:

The pattern is still rather quiet…the northwest flow in control…but we are barely in it and the southern stream is trying to get more active…but we are out of that too…a little non-mans land when it comes to the weather. The southerly flow with us saturday that will allow an nice temperature boost…mid 50’s…then a rather impressive cold front kicks in from the north pole…not much moisture..a few flurries at best…the main feature the return of the arctic cold…dropping temperatures and wind Sunday and very cold Sunday night and Monday and New Year’s eve will be cold.
