ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-- Area doctors are seeing a big jump in the number of flu cases in recent days.

Doctor's at Barnes Jewish Hospital have seen flu cases double in just the past few weeks.

This year's strain appears to be the same H1N1 strain that was circulating in 2009.

The flu vaccine typically takes about 2 weeks to work, but it's not too late to go get one.
