Driver killed, passenger injured in Fairmont City crash

Fairmont City Crash
ST. CLAIR COUNTY, IL (KTVI)-A woman is dead and her passenger hospitalized after losing control of her jeep on a desolate section of Forest Avenue on the Fairmont City-Washington Park line. 
 
The crash happened about 10:30 Sunday morning.  The vehicle was traveling eastbound on Forest, not far from Kingshighway when something caused the driver to lost control.  The SUV crossed over the center line and ran off the road on the opposite side, crashing violently.  Fortunately there was not oncoming traffic. 
 
Police were not commenting on any potential causes of the accident. 
 
The St. Clair County coroner’s office says the dead woman is  not being identified until next of kin can be contacted.

    De, and this is your main concern for this story??? Shame on you. I too am a stickler for correct grammar and spelling but considering the subject I wouldn’t touch this! Maybe you should have thought a little more about the families before you got mouse click happy.

    My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of these victims.This highway is Forest Blvd approx.3/4mi. east of Washington Park. It is an unincorporated section of St Clair County that is a few miles from Fairmont City. I listened for updated news. Guess I missed it.
