Dave Murray’s latest stl forecast and weather disco…For Thursday…February 6, 2014

*** Deep, intesne cold…that is the main story into Friday night…dangerous cold…extra care for you, family and pets. No big storms in sight but some light snow possible Friday night into Sunday morning***

Thursday:

Mix of clouds and sun…just plain cold all day long
Winds: Northewest 10-15 m.p.h.
High: 12 degrees.

Thursday night:

Partly cloudy and very, very cold
Winds: North 5-10 m.p.h.
Low: 0 degrees.

Friday:

Partly sunny and very cold
Winds: North 10-15 m.p.h.
High: 19 degrees

Some light snow possible Friday night, Saturday and Saturday night…limited…no big storms

THE WEATHER DISCO:

The arctic high pressure doing its thing…check out you home barometer…very high pressure. Deep, intense cold Thursday, Thursday night, Friday and into Friday night…still cold over the weekend with a new shot of cold coming in late weekend. There is no overall change in the pattern for at least the next 15 days. We get into a little more of a zonal flow the next few days…a dirty, sloppy pattern with no clear cut storms but little impulses of energy coming by and then a little north of a northwest flow returning over the weekend…but moisture will be limited…lets just think some light snow at times Friday night into Saturday and Saturday night. Also signs of a new southern storm early next week…but thinking the next surge of cold and dry air from the north will force that just far enough to the south but could clip southeast MO and southern Il…Monday night into Tuesday…way, way far away for details at this point in time.
