ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-- American manufacturing is brewing something big. That phrase has a special meaning for employees of Schlafly beer.
It's part of a new ad campaign being released.
Schlafly has come a long way since opening a bar of micro brews right in St. Louis.
Siemens, a technology company, has worked with Schlafly for many years developing the Schlafly product and when they wanted to shoot a commercial this summer called "American Manufacturing is Brewing Something Big." Schlafly said why not.
Schlafly saw a great opportunity to develop their product so they teamed up with Siemens in 2009 to increase efficiency, meet higher production demands and provide consistency and without their help. Schlafly may not be as popular as they are today.
And because of that, St. Louisians are keeping their jobs and Schlafly is just looking to create more as their business continues to grow.
Dan Kopman, co-founder of Schlafly, says his commercial shows that he has outgrown his two facilities and is looking to expand to a 40-acre lot.
It won't happen for another 5 or 6 years but the best part about his company isn't the growth.
Kopman also says he loves seeing more and more smaller brew pubs popping up around the St. Louis area. It really says something about the passion St. Louisians have.
