(KTVI) - In 1992, Kenan Trebincevic was a happy 11-year-old, karate-loving kid growing up in the former Yugoslovia. Then Serb, Slobodan Milosevic's war began.
His father and brother were put in a concentration camp. Neighbors and teammates turned on them because they were Bosnian Muslims.
In his book, "The Bosnia List," Kenan, now an East Coast physical therapist, tells how his family escaped to the U.S. and 20 years later returns to their homeland to confront their tormentors.
Kenan is speaking at the St. Louis County Library, 1640 S Lindbergh Blvd St, at 7pm Tuesday.
