Sump pumps repairs may cause odors at Bridgeton Landfill

BRIDGETON, MO (KTVI) – The Bridgeton Landfill has notified the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, and St. Louis County of ongoing repairs at the Bridgeton Landfill for sump pumps. The repairs will take three days and are necessary to install a new enhanced pumping system to improve collection from surface collectors.

Residents in area may experience odors coming from the site as repairs are being done.

Repairs are expected to be completed by Friday.
