Missouri Valley Conference “Arch Madness” arrives in St. Louis

The only undefeated team in college basketball arrived on Thursday at Scottrade Center for the annual Missouri Valley Conference post season tournament. Wichita State will bring a perfect 31-0 record to Arch Madness. Shockers head coach Gregg Marshall dismissed all talk of his team being a mid major program. Wichita State advanced to the Final Four at last year's NCAA Basketball Tournament.

Wichita State will face Evansville on Friday. The Purple Aces beat Drake in the first opening round game on Thursday night. D.J. Balentine scored 30 points in Evansville's 69-61 win over Drake.

In the other opening round game on Thursday, Loyola shocked Bradley with a buzzer beating three pointer by Milton Doyle to win 74-72. The Ramblers will face number two seed Indiana State on Friday in a quarterfinal game at Scottrade Center.
