ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Chia seeds are really healthy to eat. They are so much more than just a toy for growing fuzzy “pets”.
Monica Stoutenborough showed John Pertzborn a great recipe from PuraVegan Cafe & Yoga. It’s easy to try Chia pudding.
Fruit Chia Pudding
1.25 to 1.5 cups Milk of choice
1/4 cup Chia Seeds
1/2 cup fruit of choice (mango or banana are my favorite)
2 TBSP Maple Syrup (or to desired sweetness)
1 tsp vanilla extract
Combine all ingredients and allow to sit for a minimum of 20 minutes.
TIP: Prepare individual size portions in the evening in mason jars, then pull them out in the morning for a healthy breakfast.
