Trial starts for murder of babysitter and toddler
EDWARDSVILLE, IL (KTVI) – Jury selection started Monday in Edwardsville, for the murder trial of Kevin Reid. Reid is on trial for the murder of 19-year-old Anquiatte Parker and 4-year-old Cermen Toney, Jr.
Ms. Parker was babysitting the 4-year-old when they both disappeared in 2005.
Reid was charged with their murder on March 28, 2008 after Anquiatte Parker and Cermen Toney, Jr. bodies were found in a cistern.
Jury selected to take two days and the trial is expected to take two weeks.
